links

THESE links may not be the best possible ones in the world ever, like I said I'm one man acting alone with other things to do, in fact right now it's 23.00 and I should be joining my beautiful, understanding and faithful wife Julia in bed. As a matter of fact I've put 8 hours into this site today, at breakfast time, after morning clinic (it's my half day) and into the evening, and I think I will. Naturally I can't vouch for everything on these links and they may change from time to time. I found helpful content in all of them, you can judge for yourself.

Primarily Christian- why you need Jesus and how to find Him, also a few of my favourite Christian charities-please check these in particular if you have been persuaded by Dawkins that Christianity is a major cause of war and misery but are unfamiliar with the massive amount of charity work routinely done by people who love Jesus, and for no other motivation.
Science against evolution-if this phrase produces negative feelings, ask yourself where those feelings come from. Science is supposed to be about a search for truth based on evidence. Evidence has to be heard before it can be tested. The evidence against evolution is suppressed in our education systems because of a strong bias against supernatural/religious explanations, but this bias does not arise from the questioning and investigating nature of science, but from the assumption of naturalism (matter and energy are all there are or can ever be). As a convinced Christan, I am not afraid that I will lose my faith by reading about Buddhism or Islam, although if either of those faiths can be proven true, I ought to be willing to change. If you trust the scientific process and reasoned argument, you should not be afraid to study claimed evidence against evolution. There is a mass of evidence against molecules to man evolution, but I never heard any of it until I was 19 and at university-the educational system and media had only allowed me to hear one side of the story.
Intelligent Design-much misunderstanding has been spread about ID, not least from Steve '...nevertheless, evolution DID happen' Jones who loves to preach his sermon 'why evolution is clever and intelligent design is stupid'. Of course, that makes him very clever for accepting evolution. I seem to remember a lot of football songs that went a bit like that from my childhood, which majored on the fact that some players were allegedly Jewish or homosexual or had doubtful parentage. There is some comfort and group support from singing songs like that about 'those *******s over there!' but is that the way to do science? The arguments and facts exist and, for the present time, you are free to check them out.
Odds and Ends-this is my self funded one man web site and I can put a few things in which demonstrate I am in no man's pocket. I may be in God's hands, but that's another matter.

Primarily Christian
These sites, and there are many others, try to explain what the Christian Gospel means and why you need to get right with God and how you can do it through Jesus Christ, and Him alone. Christians don't agree about everything, never have done, so I offer a range of broadly Biblical mainstream sites for interested enquirers to provide food for thought. You can find others for yourself, but be careful out there, as Jesus said, there are bad guys-one of them in particular is VERY bad (and I don't mean Richard Dawkins)-out there who want to deceive you. Give these sites a go if you are interested to check it out and think for yourself, although the best resource is still Matthew, Mark , Luke and John. I also include links to a few of the Christian charities I know which provide help to the needy poor regardless of their faith or lack of it.  There are thousands more such charities inspired many the message of Jesus. If you come across any caring charities inspired by Charles Darwin's message of chance, mutation, struggle and death, do let me know via my blog and I'll put the details up here.

Premier Christian radio UK
C S Lewis society-Author of Mere Christianity, The Narnia stories, some of the most under rated sci-fin in the world ever, academic at Oxford AND Cambridge (not many of them) and major league explainer of why Christianity makes sense. A treasure chest of all sorts.

The following 4 sites came up on a search 'what must I do to be saved? (a phrase used in Acts ch 16 vs 30by a Roman jailer after Paul and Silas had been freed by an earthquake)
What must I do to be saved?
Be baptised
Abide in Christ
Gospel Ministries Outreach Online
I have not read every word of what is in these but put them up as 4 more or less randomly chosen Christin sites addressed to the enquirer. i believe them to be broadly mainstream biblical Christianity, which as readers may know includes a certain amount of disagreement over subjects such as church government, means of grace, the sacraments, forms of worship etc, but has certain foundational things in common. In these days of a fragmented church (actually the Church has always been fragmented to some extent yet always one body-it's a divine mystery) you need to check it out and indeed ask for God to illumine your own reason.

Something different and more intellectual, Lambert Dolphin's Library this is a really good site with a wide ranging collection of serious essays by various authors looking at all kinds of things from homosexuality to high school massacres. ecology to film reviews from a Christian perspective. Not your usual one dimensional stuff, much food for thought.

The next 6 sites are Christian charities I know something about, they are included as a response to the cheap
slander which is so commonly used to deflect arguments against evolution or rubbish Christianity in general. These charities' web sites (there are hundreds more) are good places to gather evidence to compare the actual behaviour of Christians with Dawkins' extreme examples.

TEAR fund one of Britain's biggest overseas development and relief charities. TEAR fund's multi-£million aid work towards the world's poor regardless of their faith is funded entirely by Bible believing evangelical Christians like me
Christian Aid-another big globally focused Christian charity, representing mainly the Anglican church but with a bigger public profile than TEAR fund, reflecting the C of E's national status. Runs political campaigns against global poverty and injustice, and collects from door to door once a year during Christian Aid week. Slogan 'We believe in life before death'.
CAFOD the Catholic overseas development charity, a Catholic equivalent to Christian aid. They also work with other charities to provide development and relief aid to the poor regardless of their religion. That's what Catholic, Anglican and Evangelical Christians do, Jesus said they must.
Mission Aviation Fellowship For over 50 years, MAF planes have been serving countless thousands of men, women and children, bringing medical care, vaccines, emergency food, and Christian hope.
The Leprosy Mission "The Leprosy Mission is a leading international non-denominational Christian organization, with over 130 years experience in leprosy work. As long as leprosy afflicts individuals and communities, The Leprosy Mission (TLM) is committed to doing all it can to break its power and impact." Leprosy should have been abolished by now, but it hasn't yet. this should be a stain on our consciences.
ACET one of the first HIV/AIDS charities, started by Christians out of a desire to care for PWA's (People With AIDS) and to challenge the unreasonable view of some Christians (more alleged than real, but still necessary to correct) that AIDS was a 'judgement from God' (it was not. It was and is a sexually transmitted disease. Obedience to God's word would have prevented it, and it teaches us something about the benefits of Godly sexual behaviour, but that doesn't make it a divine curse).

This is a very short list of Christian charities, a longer list can be found here. An internet search on Christian + charity will yield further material for study, recommended to anyone who is used to hearing that religion is the main cause of strife and war on earth, and as Dawkins says 'you have to scrape the bottom of the barrel to find something good to say about religion'. That is an interesting statement coming from a man who claims to be an honest follower of evidence. There is a mass of evidence of the benefits of Christianity, he doesn't want to believe it so simply denies it. Take the word of no man, check out the evidence before swallowing biased generalisations. It might be instructive also to search on atheist + charity and Muslim + charity.

Scientific evidence against evolution
Answers in Genesis -
US based <fundamentally Biblical site, with a huge amount of archived and searchable serious science falsifying evolutionism. If you want a scholarly, well researched article for example on the irreducibly complex design of chlorophyll or the unprovable assumptions behind radiometric dating, or to check out the facts behind the recent discovery unfossillised organic material in a T. Rex thigh bone, this is the archive to search. There is also daily comment on recent news stories.
The Biblical Creation Society
is a UK based Christian society that advances and defends the Biblical teaching on creation, seeking to think through issues related to origins from a coherent Biblical and scientific standpoint. Some nice essays for example on the peppered moth fraud, in-depth look at fossils, geology, design and a good section on Richard Dawkins.
Creation Science Movement-
the world's oldest Creationist movement, formerly the 'Evolution Protest Movement', with which I am involved having authored 2 pamphlets. There is a small museum in Portsmouth.
The Darwin Papers
this one-man (James M Foard) USA based site contains various political and personal material on which I express no opinion, plus much excellent material on Darwin and evolutionism, not least concerning Edward Blyth, the Creationist from whom Charles Darwin plagiarised his ideas about natural selection. Darwin never recognised his debt to Blyth, whose name has been buried by those who wrote the history. Check it out.
Creation Resource Trust
is a small independent English organisation with which I have worked, which produces evidence against evolution and runs an alternative 'Darwin Day' web site.
Institute for Creation research-
similar to AiG, but with more of an emphasis of scientific research and undertaking the  questioning of Darwinism by scientific methodology which mainstream scientists will not undertake because the results are unacceptable to them.
The TrueOrigin Archive
comprises an intellectually honest  response to what in fairness can only be described as  evolutionism—the doctrine of strict philosophical naturalism as a necessary presupposition in matters of science history (i.e., origins).  Please note, there is a very similar looking site TalkOrigins which is pro-evolution.
Creation Design easy reading and nicely illustrated but serious science showing how we have been deceived into believing that he evidence supports molecules to man evolution, when in fact it doesn't.
Darwinism Refuted does what it says on the label, a very readable and detailed step by step refutation of the alleged science behind Darwinism. Excellent navigation from the index page, hard science and many images.  Please note, this is an Islamic funded web site, which concludes with Koranic verses and an appeal to become a Muslim. It also links to sites which attack Israel and deny the deity of Christ, although you won't notice this while surfing the main body of the site, which is entirely science based and almost completely derived from western ID sources.

Intelligent Design
Discovery Institute
US based non religious (OK we know most Intelligent design (ID) advocates are Christians, few others have the guts or motivation to stand up to the atheist Behemoth, but the arguments are purely science based and do not depend on the Bible at all.
Professor Michael Behe-
Richard Dawkins and other atheists hate his arguments but can't satisfactorily answer them. Author of seminal book 'Darwin's black box' which totally annihilates Darwinism on the biochemical level. If you are still a Darwinist after reading and understanding this book, then probably Predestination is true and there is nothing that can be done for you. God have mercy.
Truth in Science  UK based ID organisation which kicked up a fuss recently by sending a DVD to schools which presented evidence against molecules to man evolution. They were attacked in Parliament by self-styled 'Christian' think tank Ekklesia who allied themselves with the atheist British Humanist Association to attack TIS, who were subject to severe misrepresentation and vilification for this sin against Darwin. You are not allowed to question Darwin-that is something that liberal Christians and God-hating atheists appear to be agreed on. Curious bedfellows, until you know what's behind both fraudulent philosophies. Truth in Science were able to get the Science Museum to take down a display of Haeckel's embryo drawings. These have been known to be fraudulent for 100 years but are still in use, promoting Darwinism by a lie. Nobody went on the Today programme to protest against THAT. What does that say to you? A very helpful web site, ideal for the college student who wants to hear both sides of the argument and is only getting one side.
Uncommon Descent is the web log of William Dembski and friends. Intelligent design and Darwin dissent with a generous twist of humour, like the following 'quote mine' from 20th August 2007

>>>>>>>>.From Letter 3154 — Darwin, C. R. to Herschel, J. F. W., 23 May [1861]

'One cannot look at this Universe with all living productions & man without believing that all has been intelligently designed'

Charles Darwin, 1861

Odds and ends
My blog-mostly a commentary on recent news stories concerning evolutionary speculation, also contains film reviews, links, and anything I feel like posting. You can post comments there. I haven't had many comments yet, I undertake not to delete any which are made unless they are extremely obscene or blasphemous.
English apple growing-my other blog and web site is about apples, if you're interested.
PCDS the Primary Care Dermatology Society exists to advance the care for patients with skin disease in Britain, I am involved on the committee and edit the bulletin. The PCDS does not in any way endorse or support my views, and the fact that I am involved adds no credibility to my arguments, but I mention this so sceptics can check out the fact that I do actually exist and am a practicing medical man involved in science based education. I totally uphold the principles of MATERIAL science, but not the MATERIALIST assumptions of reductionist atheists which insist that science by definition must exclude design or the supernatural even if the evidence points that way. Darwinism has no implications for medicine, apart from the wasted time studying it and the blind alleys it has led researchers up. No medical discover owes his hypothesis a thing.
